Description
Ferr-L-Tite is used to adhere broadheads and points to wood shafts for archery. Hot melt glue is used in circumstances where you might want to remove the two items glued together. The items to be glues should be free of paint, lacquer or oil films. Foreign matter on the gluing surface will be detrimental to high adhesive strength. The adhesive joint should be a loose fit so that there is space for the glue between the two surfaces. A tight fit will cause poor adhesion. To use this product it is necessary to hold the Ferr-L-Tite with pliers and heat the stick of product until it begins to run. Then you will rub the stick on the surfaces you want to glue and then you will press them together. To get a quick dry time immerse the two components into some water which will cause instant setting. You can use a propane torch, a candle or an alcohol burner sold by Rose City Archery for this heating purpose.
