These particular daytime spot bulbs have been produced using glass that has been impregnated with a type of rare earth, which is known as Neodymium giving the glass a blue hue. It is said that when the neodymium is present in the glass of a spot bulb it filters out yellow light produced by normal spot bulbs, this then creates a whiter light that is more natural in appearance. The neodymium coating helps to reduce the yellow colour for a whiter daytime light.
